The 2021 Kerr County Rabies Drive officially begins February 6, and will run through February 20, but there will be a few changes this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Kerr County Animal Services, this year’s rabies vaccinations will be provided in the office of any veterinary clinic in Kerr County. Appointments are required.

During the two week event, Kerr County Animal Services will offer the city/county registration for $1 per pet. Appointments are also required for visitors to KCAS Animal Control Facility, located at 3600 Loop 534, in Kerrville. This site will provide registrations only, not the actual rabies vaccinations. For additional information, call (830) 257-3100.

Rabies vaccinations and registrations are both required by Texas law for all cats and dogs.
