The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has released their 2021 Activity Guide online at https://www.kerrvilletx.gov/2021_Activity guide. Additionally, it will be mailed to more than 8,000 homes in the coming weeks to City of Kerrville residents.

Included in the guide is information regarding department activities such as aquatics, special events, adult sports leagues and tournaments and information regarding parks and facilities in the area. For more information visit www.kerrvilletx.gov or call (830) 257-7300.

While it may still be several months away, the local non-profit Kerrville Christmas Lighting Corporation (KCLC) has selected the City of Kerrville Parks and recreation Department’s “Light the Island” project as this year’s main fundraiser. All funds raised will go directly towards the installation of electrical infrastructure on the island along the Kerrville River Trail.

The Economic Improvement Corporation (EIC) committed to jumpstart the project, awarding the KCLC with a $100,000 quality-of-life matching grant. KCLC is raising the additional $100,000 still needed to complete the project and contributions are matched dollar-for-dollar through the grant.

For more details regarding sponsorship levels visit www.kerrvillechristmaslighting.com or call (830) 370-1663.
