The Fredericksburg Police Department has released traffic plans for assisting vehicles after the May 7, 175th Anniversary Fireworks Show.
At the conclusion of the 9:30 PM event, the FPD will be assisting vehicles exiting the fair grounds, the airport and the park.
Those parked on Tivydale Rd. FM 2093 west of Kerr Rd., will take Tivydale Rd. FM 2093 westbound, or Kerr Rd. northbound to exit.
Those leaving the fairgrounds on Fair Drive at Tivydale will need to turn westbound on Tivydale or north on Kerr Rd. Access to TX 16 south from this exit will not be permitted.
Those leaving the fairgrounds on Fair Dr. at TX 16 south can turn right to access the highway or left to the inside lane of TX 16 north.
Those leaving the parking lots at Gillespie County Airport or Hangar Hotel will turn left onto Fair Dr. to exit to Tivydale.
Those headed eastbound to TX 16 south will be forced to turn on Kerr Rd. headed north. Drivers can then access TX 16 south off Pyka Rd. or West Live Oak St.
Drivers exiting the fairgrounds lot should exit on Fair Dr. to access TX 16 north or south.
