The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has announced the addition of fireworks to help celebrate the second annual Kerrville River Festival, set for Saturday, October 16, in Louise Hays Park. The fireworks display will take place roughly at 9:30 p.m., and residents are advised to take precautions accordingly for pets.

The festival is intended to inspire and motivate Texans to get outside and enjoy a healthy day of outdoor adventure and exercise and will feature an array of activities including yoga, exercise classes and nature clubs. Besides the many family exhibits and activities, four different concerts are planned, with the headliner being country music star Jerrod Niemann.
