KENDALL COUNTY, Texas — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that a bed and breakfast cabin operator in Comfort has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of Invasive Visual Recording.
A Jay Allee, who police say operates Cielito Lindo Bed and Breakfast Cabin Rental in Comfort, is accused of secretly videotaping guests staying at his cabin for over a year, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
A guest staying at the cabin reported finding a hidden camera in the master bathroom of the cabin and reported the incident to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in July.
KCSO says that their Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation that ultimately recovered evidence indicating that Allee invasively recorded victims dating back to at least May 2020.
Allee was arrested Saturday, November 20, 2021, and charged with four counts of Invasive Visual Recording, a felony offense in the state of Texas, after investigators say that they were able to identify at least four victims. He has since been released after posting a $600,000 bail.
The investigation is ongoing and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office says that they expect more charges against Allee as they work to identify additional victims.
