Windstream Communications is currently experiencing outages throughout the area, according to a press release from the Kerrville Police Department. Windstream administrative phone lines will be down for an unknown period of time due to a fiber cut outside the immediate area, and they are working to repair the issue as quickly as possible.

All 911 lines are still working but administrative phone lines in and out of KPD are not working. The public is asked to only call 911 if it is an actual emergency. Administrative and routine calls will have to wait until full phone service is restored.
