City of Kerrville announces positions available on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

The City of Kerrville announced that positions are available for appointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Members assist in advising the city council in all matters regarding the development, improvement, programming and maintenance of the land and facilities managed by the department and help promote cooperation between the city and its citizens, institutions and various agencies interested in recreational activities.

The Advisory Board meets quarterly on the first Tuesday of every month at 4:15 p.m., and a majority of the board must be residents of the city of Kerrville, and all residents must be residents of Kerr County. Board members are expected to attend meetings, advocate for the Parks and Recreation Department, assist with the marketing of city events, assist in planning for events and help with the recruitment of volunteers.
