April 3-9 is National Library Week and Kerrville’s Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library is hoping to entice more visitors to pay them a visit and see all of the numerous things made available to them at their local library.

The theme for this year’s event is “Connect With Your Library,” which is meant to promote the idea that libraries are places to get connected to technology by using broadband, computers and other resources.

A spokesperson from the library said that libraries continue to evolve and help keep their communities connected by expanding resources and embracing inclusion in their programming, resources and collections.

As recently seen during the COVID-19 pandemic, electronic resources and wi-fi access help students with online homework for those who may lack internet access at home.

The Butt-Holdsworth Library now offers curbside pickup, homebound delivery, pop-up libraries, digital resources and extensive adult and children’s programming.

For additional information, the library asks people to visit their website at www.kerrvilletx.gov, or call (830)258-1274.
