A former recreation director for the Hill Country Youth Ranch has been indicted on two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child, stemming from an arrest in February 2021.

Court documents state that Richard Hernandez, Jr. is accused having sexual relations with a 16-year old male in 2021, after first exchanging inapproprial pictures with the teenager via Instagram.

Within a two-month time frame in and around February, 2021, three employees at the youth ranch were arrested and being investigated for similar charges.

Hernandez was the third such arrest made by authorities.

A former House parent at the Hill Country Youth Ranch was accused of sexual abuse of children under her care at the facility.

Following this arrest, a second House parent, a man, was being investigated by the Real County Sheriff’s Office.
