KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner University Athletics Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Darren Bauer as the next Head Coach of Schreiner Men’s Soccer.

Coach Bauer will be coming to Schreiner with an illustrious 232-59-17 record as a Head Coach at Liberty Hill. During his time at Liberty Hill, Bauer took his teams to three UIL State Tournament appearances and nine UIL District titles.

“We are excited to bring a successful Head Coach to lead our program. Coach Bauer has developed a culture of wining and success that is exactly what our men’s program needs to take the next step in it’s development.” – Bill Raleigh, Director of Athletics

Darren Bauer will begin his tenure with Schreiner Men’s Soccer immediately as the team gets ready for their upcoming Fall season.

“I want to thank Schreiner President Dr. Charlie McCormick, Dean of Students Dr. Charlie Hueber, Athletic Director Bill Raleigh, and the entire search committee for trusting me to lead the men’s soccer program to new heights in the coming years. I would also like to thank my wife, Arlene Bauer, for supporting me through the years and helping me reach my dream. Everyone during my visits has made the ambitions of Schreiner University clear, and I am thrilled I will be a contribution to that future success.” – Darren Bauer
