The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department’s “Movies in the Park” Halloween series kicks off on Saturday, October 1 at dark (weather permitting) with a showing of “Hotel Transylvania” (PG) at Louise Hays Park, 202 Thompson Drive in Kerrville.  Spectators are encouraged to bring their own blankets, insect repellant, etc… to the free event, and there will be concessions for sale on site.

Throughout the month of October, the featured movies at the park will highlight family friendly holiday classics.  The series will continue with “Nightmare before Christmas” (PG) on October 8 and “Beetlejuice” on October 29.

The City of Kerrville is also encouraging and inviting community members to assist in selecting movies for the 2023 “Movies in the Park” series by participating in a short survey.  In all, the series will consist of nine movie events which include a drive-in movie, five movies in the park and one movie to be shown at the Olympic Pool.

For additional information, visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
