The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to participate in the “Scarecrow and Skeletons Showdown,” a Halloween decorating contest open to businesses and individuals alike.  The categories include:  Overall favorite;  Spookiest;  Most creative.

All submissions will be judged based on the digital format submitted, and there will be no in-person judging.  The city reserves the right to refuse any entries not in compliance with the family-oriented guidelines and encourages participants to use discretion.

Photos must be received no later than Wednesday, October 26 for a chance to win $100 and can be submitted to recreation@kerrvilletx.gov.  The winners will be announced on Friday, October 28.

For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (830) 257-7300, or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
