The City of Kerrville’s Street Division will be closing the city’s standard short parade route to include downtown on Thursday, October 20, for the 2022 Tivy High School homecoming parade. Parade entrants will be staging on Hugo Street from Water Street and Guadalupe Street, with these areas being closed at 4:45 p.m.
The parade route includes Water Street, from State Highway 27 to State Highway 16 through the downtown area. In addition, Water Street, from State Highway 16 to Washington Street, and Earl Garrett Street from Water Street to State Highway 27 will be closed at 5:45 p.m.
The parade steps off at 6:15 p.m., and the closures are expected to last approximately two hours. Residents should anticipate heavy traffic congestion in and around those areas.
These areas will remain accessible to emergency vehicles in the event of an emergency, otherwise alternate routes should be planned in advance.
Early, in-person voting for the upcoming November 8 General Election begins Monday, October 24 through November 4. All registered voters in Kerr County can cast their ballots at either the Hill Country Youth Event Center, 3785 TX 27, in Kerrville, or at the Ingram Independent School District Administration Building, 510 College Street, in Ingram.
