The City of Fredericksburg has officially kicked off two construction projects including Phase II of Marktplatz renovations, which includes the installation of the construction fencing.

City officials say that Phase II is expected to take approximately ten months to complete.  In addition to the fencing, the project includes construction of restrooms and a multi-purpose room on the northwest corner of the square.  Estimates for the entirety of the construction are roughly $2,000,000 and donations can still be made by visiting www.fbgtx.org/1038/Donate.

Precinct 3 Gillespie County Commissioner Dennis Neffendorf wants to remind citizens that the 4300 block of Morris Ranch Road will be closed to through traffic for approximately 45 days beginning January 9.  Drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes to travel between White Oak Road and Texas 16 South while construction is being done for a bridge culvert replacement.

For more information regarding these projects, call 830-997-7503.
