2023 Shop Local Official Rules

THE WINNER MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN AT LOUISE HAYS PARK CENTENNIAL STAGE, DECEMBER 16TH STARTING AT 4:30 P.M.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

Persons must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the contest.

The ticket hopper will be located in Louise Hays Park on December 16, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., the drawing will start for the grand prize and all additional prizes.

JAM Broadcasting will draw a ticket out of the hopper for each prize. As soon as the ticket is drawn and the number is announced, participants will have five (5) minutes to produce and present the ticket with the matching number to JAM Broadcasting in order to win each individual prize.

The maximum number of tickets that can be awarded to a single customer on a purchase is 101 per day, per business, based upon a sale of $1,000. Tickets will be handed out on the basis of one ticket per each customer entering the business, regardless of purchase (in other words no purchase is required to get 1 free ticket). One additional ticket for each $10 purchase or fraction thereof up to the maximum of a $1,000 transaction or 100 tickets.

For example: For a purchase totaling between $10.00 and $19.99 a customer would receive two tickets. For a purchase totaling between $30.00 and $39.99, a customer would receive four tickets, and so on.

Business owners, managers, employees, and members of their immediate families cannot participate in the drawing using tickets from the same business that they are associated with. They are, however, eligible to participate with tickets from another store or service provider.

JAM Broadcasting will verify before awarding prizes that the ticket is not from an employee, owner, or immediate family member of the same business as the ticket originated. If it has been found that the winner submitted a ticket for a prize from a business that they, own, are employed at, or immediate family of, the winner will be disqualified, and JAM Broadcasting will resume the drawing until there is a winner.

No substitutions of the ticket will be accepted. You must produce the actual ticket that you received at one of the SHOP LOCAL locations. Participants may not submit a photo, photocopy, graphic, video, or any other means of submitting the ticket. Participants must submit the original ticket before the five-minute timer runs out.

The winner must provide legal identification (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, etc) to JAM Broadcasting before they will be awarded any prize. The winner will also have to sign an affidavit stating that they are not owners, managers, employees, or immediate family of the business that the ticket originated from and that the ticket they have turned in to claim their prize is an authentic JAM Broadcasting Shop Local ticket.

The ticket presented to win the drawing must be the original ticket. Any counterfeit tickets or fraudulent tickets will result in criminal/civil penalties and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

JAM Broadcasting knows that participants may acquire a substantial number of tickets and encourages participants to keep a spreadsheet with all of their acquired ticket numbers so that they can quickly check to see if they are a winner once the ticket number is announced.

JAM Broadcasting reserves the right to change any rule at any time of the promotion.

JAM Broadcasting is aware that COVID-19 could impact crowd gatherings and has a plan in place for remote drawing in case of changes to any mandates.

The drawing location is tentative and is subject to change. If that occurs, JAM Broadcasting will announce the new location heavily on all radio stations and JAM Broadcasting social media pages.
