Jelly Roll delivered a free benefit concert for first responders at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena on Saturday.

Nearly 6,000 emergency personnel, including over 1,000 incarcerated firefighters from across California, showed up for Jelly’s 30-song show.

“I want you to know that you are here tonight because you are a hero or you are a loved one of a hero,” Jelly shared onstage. “I knew the moment I was watching this go down all the way in Tennessee in my house, I thought if I got a chance to go to California I was gonna play music to everyone who worked their a** off for the last 2 months trying to keep the rest of this place safe. Thank y’all for having me tonight – this is awesome!”

Lainey Wilson, “Miles on It” DJ Marshmello and hip-hop group Public Enemy also joined Jelly as surprise guests.

“@jellyroll615 doin what Jelly does. It was an honor to thank some heroes along side him at the @rosebowlstadium last night,” Lainey said in an Instagram post on Sunday. “Thank you to all the first responders out there who have showed up time and time again.”

Jelly’s now #2 on the country charts with “Liar,” the second single off his latest album, Beautifully Broken.
