Schreiner Secures 2–0 Victory Over Centenary
KERRVILLE, Texas — Schreiner Women’s Soccer earned its first conference win of the season with a 2–0 shutout over Centenary (LA) on Sunday afternoon.
The Mountaineers struck early when Aspen Ulibarri netted her second goal of the season in the 14th minute, finishing off an assist from Jess Sinclair. Schreiner doubled its lead early in the second half as freshman Megan Chandonia tallied her first career goal in the 53rd minute.
Defensively, the Mountaineers were dominant, holding Centenary without a single shot across the full 90 minutes. Goalkeeper Emilie Novasad earned the clean sheet without facing a shot on target, improving her record to 2–2 on the season. Schreiner outshot the Ladies 6–0 and held a 57% advantage in possession while committing just four fouls.
With the win, the Mountaineers improve to 3–4-1 overall and 1–1 in SCAC play. Schreiner will look to build on the momentum next weekend when they continue their conference slate.
