Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez get BAFTA nominations for ‘Wicked,’ ‘Emilia Pérez’

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are continuing their hot streak when it comes to award nominations.

Both stars have received nods for Best Supporting Actress at the BAFTAs, the U.K. equivalent of the Oscars. Ari is nominated for Wicked, while Selena’s nod is for Emilia Pérez. Both women were also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes.

Overall, Emilia Pérez received 11 nominations; Wicked got seven, but it was snubbed in the best picture category. The leading nominee is Conclave, with 12 nods.

The BAFTAs ceremony, hosted by David Tennant, takes place February 16. In the U.S., you’ll be able to stream it on BritBox.

Because so many people who vote for the BAFTAs also vote for the Oscars, they are considered a decent predictor for those nominations, which will be handed out Jan. 23.
