Justin Bieber‘s most recent album was 2021’s Justice, but an industry insider is predicting that this will be the year he finally returns to music.

Puck’s Matthew Belloni writes in his What I’m Hearing column, “Despite the $200 million sale of his catalog in 2023, I’m told Bieber needs the money and wants to work.”

Belloni also claims that Justin “still owes [concert promoter] AEG a ton for his canceled tour, among other pop star expenses.” As you may recall, in 2022 Justin canceled the remainder of his Justice world tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which paralyzed the right side of his face.

Belloni also claims, “To aid the comeback, if that’s the right term for a 30-year-old who took a few years off, he’s got a new attorney in Michael Rhodes to make deals.”

While Justin hasn’t put out an album or toured in several years, he has released collaborations with Don Toliver and SZA. He’s also done a few live performances, including one last year at the wedding celebration for an Indian billionaire’s son.

Last year Justin and his wife, Hailey, welcomed their first child, Jack Blues.
