13th Annual Kerrville Triathlon Festival kicks off Sept. 28

The 13th Annual Kerrville Triathlon Festival will be held September 28-29 in Kerrville.  This event typically brings thousands of athletes and spectators to the Texas Hill Country and was first established in 2011 when Austin-based High Five Events partnered with the City to bring a long-course triathlon to the Hill Country.

Event organizers are still seeking groups interested in volunteering throughout that weekend, and multiple positions are available.  A donation program for groups of five or more who help in key positions is available with donations ranging from $200-$400 per group shift.  Interested volunteers can email volunteer@kerrvilletri.com or visit www.kerrvilletri.com.

The Kerrville Triathlon offers many opportunities for athletes to participate, ranging from the free 800-meter Kids Fun Run to the Half Distance Triathlon.  Advanced registration is available online until Sept. 27 for all events.
