Early voting begins Monday, April 19, for the May 1 elections.
In order to cast a ballot, individuals must present one of the following forms of identification:
Texas Drivers License (issued by the DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate
Texas Personal Identification Card
Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC)
U.S. Military ID Card (containing the person’s photograph)
U.S. Citizenship Certificate (containing the person’s photograph)
U.S. Passport
Except for the U.S. Citizenship Certificate, all forms of identification used must be current or have expired no more than four years before being presented.
Those who do not have the above mentioned forms of identification may still vote if they sign a sworn statement as to why they do not have any of the above mentioned identifications listed and present another form of ID.
The last day for early voting is April 27.
Election Day is scheduled for May 1.
