The City of Kerrville wants to remind citizens to continue to check for water leaks as the weather begins to warm up. In the event anyone needs to report a water leak over the weekend, it is asked that customers utilize the 24-hour, after hours hotline listed on the city’s webpage: www.kerrvilletx.gov.
Due to all of the city’s business offices being closed on Friday because of inclement weather, utility customers with a due date of February 4, will have until 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, to pay bills. There will be no additional fees assessed and/or disconnects scheduled for February 7.
Due to continued hazards resulting from the winter weather, Republic Services has suspended all normal garbage and recycling services for the remainder of the week. Services will resume Monday and follow the regular schedule. This will result in a two-week delay for recycling and a one-week delay for garbage. In addition, the city’s landfill and transfer station will be closed through Saturday before returning to normal operations beginning Monday, February 7.
On a business note, the City of Kerrville’s agenda for the February 8, city council meeting, which is usually posted on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting on the outdoor bulletin board at City Hall, will be posted on Saturday, February 5, by 5 p.m. The agenda posting will still meet the state mandated 72-hour requirement for agenda postings before a meeting can be held.
All City of Kerrville operations will resume as normal on Monday, February 7.
