The City of Kerrville encourages all area skateboarders to grab their helmets and sign up for the City’s annual “Skateboard Competition”, which is set to take place on Saturday, June 11 at Singing Winds Park, 2112 Singing Wind Drive.
Check-in and warm-ups begin at 9:30 a.m., and the competition is set to start at 10:00 a.m. Participants have three minutes to perform their best skills in competition for the top prize.
The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has set up age divisions and all competitors are required to wear helmets. Registration is free.
Following a morning of skating competition, the City’s “Movies in the Park” series will be showing “Sing 2” (PG) at roughly 8:30 p.m.
People are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, insect repellant and flashlights. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase on site.
