The Kerr County Commissioners’ Court voted 4-0 to call a bond election on three separate propositions totaling an estimated $27.5 million. Precinct 1 Commissioner Harley David Belew was absent at Monday’s special meeting.

The bond issues will be included on the U.S. General Election ballot on November 8, 2022. The propositions are in regards to courthouse security and growth, the West Kerr annex, a storage facility, the Hill Country Youth Event Center and a Kerr County Animal Services facility.

According to Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly, “These are all needs. They are not wants. The county realizes local families are feeling the impact of inflation, but needs don’t go away.”

The Texas Secretary of State’s Office wants to remind all eligible Texas voters they have until October 11 to register to vote in the November 8 election.
