Some residents of Bandera County recently announced that they have organized a search party for Jordan Tomkins, 25, who has been reported missing since late April. Tomkins was last seen walking alone on PR 37 on April 22 and is 5’3″ tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes, short, dark-blond hair and has tattoos.
Bandera County officials report that two of four people reported missing in the county since April have been located, but none of the incidents appear to be related.
One of the cases is being investigated as a possible suicide and another investigation is listed as a possible homicide. According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, “These are separate incidents, and we have no reason to believe they are connected at all.”
The body of 33-year old Brittany McMahon was found in the Bandera Pass subdivision on July 3. On August 9, a grand jury in Kerrville agreed with investigators that no evidence of a crime existed.
The burnt remains of 56-year old Sean Duffy were found on August 17 near Red Bluff Ranch Road after authorities were informed he’d been reported missing on July 16. A homicide investigation has been opened regarding this case and cause of death has not yet been released.
Authorities continue to look for 63-year old Norma Espinoza, who was reported missing on August 12. She is described as being 5’8″ tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes and dark hair.
Anyone wishing to assist with Saturday’s search party should meet at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, September 3 at the American Legion Post, 410 Lakehills. Anyone with any information pertaining to the disappearance of any of these four individuals is asked to contact the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office at (830) 796-3771.
