City of Kerrville updates road closures schedule

The City of Kerrville and contractor Bennett Paving Inc. have begun repairing asphalt roads at multiple locations throughout the city.  The improvements to the streets include asphalt mill, overlay, and crack seal repairs.  The contractor will be handing out notices 48 hours in advance of all scheduled construction on the affected streets.  Each road should begin and finish over the course of a day, and the actual construction is set to take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A few locations will require a full road closure, but there will be an alternative route provided for traffic.  The road closures began on September 20 with closures on East Lane.  Beginning Thursday, September 28, closures will begin for a section of Clay Street, between Water Street and Junction Highway.

During construction, street parking will be prohibited.  Any vehicles that remain on the affected streets will be towed away at the owner’s expense.  For additional information, visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
