The City of Kerrville and its contractor, Elecnor-Belco, will begin construction along Water Street at the intersection of Earl Garrett for improvements to pedestrian safety and signalization beginning Monday, January 29.  The project is funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant.  The project consists of a full intersection and traffic rebuild at Water Street and Earl Garrett to include new curb ramps, a new crosswalk, updated pavement markings, and new pedestrian and traffic signal equipment.

The project is expected to last two months.  During this period, vehicle and pedestrian access to local businesses will be maintained , with any road closures indicated by temporary street signage.

For additional information, contact the Kerrville Public Works Department at (830) 258-1221.
