Kerrville-Schreiner Park is reminding families that it is gearing up for Spring Break beginning March 11.  The park offers over 13 miles of hiking and biking trails, river access, and two free community events with the entire family in mind.  Events are free to campers and the day-use fee will be waived during select times for community members.

On Monday, March 11 at 6 p.m. is a Campfire Movie Night complete with S’mores.  The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023-PG) is slated to start at dark at the ampitheater.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Free popcorn will be available.

Family Game Night/Concerts by the River is scheduled for Friday, March 15 starting at 6 p.m. in the Ampitheater and the Recreation Hall.  Music headliners will be The Javier Soliz Band and Ranch House.

Kerrville-Schreiner Park still has mini cabins and tent sites available for the week of Spring Break.  Rates for mini cabins start at $60 plus tax, and tent sites start at $25/night.  For booking accommodations, visit www.kerrvilletx.gov/camp.

For more details regarding all of the Spring Break activities being offered, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (830) 257-7300, or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
