The Kerr County Commissioners’ Court invites all local organizations to pay tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes by presenting wreaths during the annual Kerr County Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 27, at the Kerr County Courthouse. “We encourage organizations to bring their occasion-appropriate wreaths to this observance,” said Kerr County Veterans Service Officer Jenna Sanchez.
This year, the wreaths and their supporting organization will be announced as they are paraded in front of the granite Kerr County War Memorial and then placed at its base in a newly organized fashion. Registration of participants is required and must be made in advance of the 10 a.m. ceremony on the day of the event. All organizations who choose to participate are also asked to provide a wire stand for their wreath so that it is capable of standing freely.
The Kerr County War Memorial pays tribute to local military service men and women who paid for the freedoms we enjoy today with their lives. Their names are listed by order of conflict.
