The City of Kerrville is currently conducting several surplus auctions on GovDeals, the leading online marketplace for government agencies to sell surplus assets.  The items currently posted for auction include several trucks, a Caterpillar backhoe, and other miscellaneous items.  Starting prices range from under $100 to over $5,000, and all postings will close on December 17-18, 2024.

The City began utilizing GovDeals to fairly dispose of surplus assets in September 2010.  To date, the city has successfully sold more than 301 items which returned more than $858,000 to be used towards the purchase of replacement assets.  GovDeals is a great resource for the general public to purchase equipment at very reasonable prices.

To view and/or bid on surplus property, interested parties can visit GovDeals.com.  For further information, contact Janelle Chapman, Procurement Coordinator, at Janelle.chapman@kerrvilletx.gov.
