The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department welcomes residents and visitors to the next installment of the free Movies in the Park series this Friday, May 2, at the Kerrville Sports Complex (soccer fields).  For Friday’s showing, the feature movie is “IF” (2024, PG).  The movie will be at sundown and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic snacks to enjoy a cozy night under the stars.

This year’s series will continue with a diverse and exciting slate of films at various scenic locations across Kerrville.  Dates and locations are as follows:

~July 18: “JAWS” (1975, PG) at Louise Hays Park

~Aug. 23: “Barbie” (2023, PG-13) at Schreiner University

~Oct. 31: “Despicable Me 4” (2024, PG) at Louise Hays Park

“We are proud to offer this series each year as a way to bring people together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere,” said Rosa Ledesma, Interim director of Parks and Recreation.  “Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, Movies in the Park is a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy some of the best parts of Kerrville.”

Weather conditions will be monitored closely and the city will post any event updates or changes on its social media channels.  Be sure to check for the latest information before heading to the event.
