Final draft of Kerrville 2050 Plan update now available for review

In 2017-18, Kerrville citizens helped shape the Kerrville 2050 Comprehensive Plan, setting a bold, community-driven vision for the future of the city.  To ensure the plan remains relevant and aligned with the community’s evolving needs, the Kerrville City Council approved funding in 2024 to support an important update, and the final draft is now complete and available for public review.

There are nine separate sections and an appendix in the Final Draft, which can be viewed at www.Kerrville2050.com.

The updated plan will be presented to the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council on June 10 for initial consideration in the adoption process.  This update reflects extensive public engagement, including a citywide survey, multiple town hall meetings, and collaboration with two advisory committees.  The city’s consultants have worked closely with the community to ensure the revised plan reflects the necessary values, priorities, and aspirations for the years ahead.

Citizens are encouraged to review the draft and stay engaged as the plan moves toward formal adoption.
