The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department has unveiled its SAR Plan for Monday stating that, once again, experienced teams will be sent out for search, rescue and recovery.  However, they will begin shifting operations to include a more precise search using trained search dogs and horses as well as only experienced SAR responders.

Search teams will begin targeting debris piles identified by the SAR trained animals and then using chainsaws and various excavators carefully removing branches and debris to reveal what might be hidden underneath.  Only those who have the necessary experience are asked to show up at the Center Point station by 7:30 a.m. for assignments.  Volunteers should park their vehicles at Lions Park or the Center Point School.

Anyone having heavy equipment to offer should contact Kerr County Commissioner Jeff Holt (Jeff.Holt@co.kerr.tx.us) who is prioritizing and coordinating heavy equipment cleanup activities and resources for the entire county.

Anyone wanting to donate items can do so at the CPISD little gymnasium across from the school on China Street.  For more information, contact Britny Cranford at (830) 377-6845.  Items still needed include:

~Gatorade

~Cleaning rags

~Financial assistance (Checks can be sent to CPVFD at PO Box 494, Center Point, TX 78010
