Several food recalls were issued over concerns of salmonella contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warned that several food items made with a recalled dry milk powder could be contaminated.
~The most recent recall includes select batches of Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread because the dry milk powder was used in the five-cheese sauce blend.
~Other recalls linked to the powder impact frozen pizzas, pork rinds, multiple Zapp’s and Dirty brand chips, several snack mixes sold under brand names Fisher, Squirrel Brand, Southern Style Nuts, and Target’s private label, Good & Gather; select croutons sold at Kroger stores in several states; specialty beverages; and select 3-ounce bottles of Pork King Good Sour Cream & Onion seasoning products.
Salmonella bacteria can cause salmonellosis, the CDC explains. You can become infected by drinking or interacting with contaminated water; touching animals, their feces, or their spaces; or by eating contaminated food. Diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps are commonly associated with an infection. These symptoms can set in between six hours and six days after you’ve eaten contaminated food or otherwise been exposed to the bacteria. Every year, salmonella causes roughly 1.35 million illnesses and 420 deaths.

~Thousands of baby bottles have been recalled because of a choking hazard to infants and young children. TOMY International is recalling approximately 40,000 Boon NURSH 8 oz. Reusable Baby Bottles after the hard plastic outer shell was found to bubble and peel, creating loose film-like pieces that a baby could choke on.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on June 4, 2026. The affected product is the Boon NURSH 8 oz. Reusable Baby Bottles 3-pack in pink tie dye. The bottles were sold exclusively at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com from November 2025 through May 2026 for about $20. Consumers can identify affected units by the item number B11654 and UPC 669028116546, both printed on the bottom of the packaging.
Parents and caregivers should stop using the bottles immediately. Consumers can contact TOMY for a refund in the form of $22 in store credit to Boon’s website or a replacement set of three bottles in a different color.
TOMY can be reached toll-free at 866-725-4407, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT, by email at cs@tomy.com or online at recall.tomy.com/nursh. The company’s main website also has a “Product Recalls” link at the top of the page.
