TxDOT announces Fredericksburg road closure

The City of Fredericksburg has been notified by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) that a section of the outer eastbound lane of US 290 will be closed indefinitely between Highway Street and Cristol Drive while TxDOT and its contractors repair pavement.

This closure is part of ongoing work to address a failing section of US 290 on the east side of Fredericksburg.

Motorists should expect delays and increased construction activity in the area.
