Kendall County Fair Association calls for a Special Membership Meeting Sept. 22

The Kendall County Fair Association (KCFA) will hold a Special Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the New Hall at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, 1307 River Rd in Boerne.  The meeting comes as the Association continues facing scrutiny over concerns brought forth by parents, former Queen’s Court members and the community over the well-being of contestants and the integrity of the pageant operation.

Additionally, Ford of Boerne issued a statement last week that it will no longer sponsor the organization.  The dealership previously provided vehicles for KCFA events.

At a three-hour membership meeting on Sept. 11, many attendees were demanding leadership changes, more accountability from board members and reform to the pageant program.

Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public, and community members are welcome to attend.  However, only members of the Kendall County Fair Association are eligible to vote on matters presented during the meeting, according to the organization’s Facebook page.  Furthermore, members must have been a member for 30 days prior to the meeting to be eligible to vote.
