26-year-old Boerne woman identified as airman found deceased in Florida

An Elgin Air Force Base medical examiner has positively identified the body found in a burned car September 23 at Range Road 234 and Lewis Turner Blvd. in Florida, as 26-year-old Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley of Boerne.  The victim was assigned to the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron as a radiology technician.  She entered the Air Force in 2021.

An Elgin AFB employee found the car on the morning of Sept. 23 and notified law enforcement.  Both Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the 96th Security Forces Squadron patrols responded.  The scene was immediately turned over to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, according to a release.

“Senior Airman Bolden-Checkley was a valued member of the 96 Test Wing team, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and fellow Airmen during this difficult time,” said Col. Chris Keithley, 96th TW commander.

AFOSI is still investigating the incident.
