Beginning October 9, the Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is reopening two segments of the Kerrville River Trail as recovery work continues following the July floods.  Reopening these segments is another step forward in the City’s ongoing recovery efforts.  The segments set to reopen include:

~Segment 1: Schreiner University Trailhead to G Street Trailhead

~Segment 2: G Street Trailhead to Birkdale Trailhead

Citizens are reminded that only these two segments are reopening now.  Other portions of the Kerrville River Trail remain closed as recovery work continues.  Residents are advised to always use caution and remain alert for debris, uneven areas, or other potential hazards.  Always stay on the designated trail, follow posted signs and barricades, and do not enter or cross onto private property.
