The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is warning local meat markets and businesses about an ongoing scam involving an individual who has been targeting meat markets in Kendall County and the San Antonio area.  The individual goes by the name “Brian” and reportedly:

~Calls meat markets and places large meat orders

~Provides a deposit over the phone using a credit card

~Claims he is from Dallas and resells meat from his van

~States that he has a website, TheMeatland.com

~Arranges for the large order to be prepared and loaded into his vehicle

~Leaves quickly after picking up the order before the business discovers that the credit card is fraudulent/invalid

~Has reportedly used the phone number (646)-305-6774

KCSO reminds businesses to verify large phone orders and credit card payments before releasing any merchandise.

Anyone who has been victimized by this individual and has surveillance footage, photographs, vehicle information, receipts, or other evidence, is asked to call (830)-249-9721.
