The City of Kerrville municipal offices and the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas holiday, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 in observance of the New Year holiday.

The Parks and Recreation Dept. office located at Kerrville-Schreiner Park will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The landfill and transfer station will close at 2:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day, but will remain open during regularly scheduled hours on New Year’s Eve.

Anyone with questions regarding these closures can contact the City of Kerrville at (830) 257-8000.

The Ingram Police Benevolent Foundation wants to assure citizens that all donations, gifts, etc… were distributed to families involved with The Blue Santa Program. Organizers also want to express how grateful they are for the continued show of community support, even during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

New Ingram Police Chief Carol Twiss says she is excited to carry on with the tradition next year with her new staff. Twiss said, “The Ingram Police Dept. will participate in the program next year. We plan to continue the partnership with the Benevolent Foundation Board and provide services to the citizens of Ingram who need assistance.”

Blue Santa is a community outreach program which helps families during an otherwise stressful time. It provides a positive interaction that raises the spirits of both recipients, donors and police officers, as well as providing clothes and at least one gift for children 13 and younger.
