Kerr County officials are inviting the public to join them in honoring our nation’s fallen military heroes during a Memorial Day observance program Monday, May 31, on the Kerr County Courthouse grounds, 700 Main Street in Kerrville.
The 10 a.m. program will be centered around the War Memorial on the courthouse grounds with U.S. Marine Corps Col. Jack Lousma (Ret.) providing the keynote address. Other individuals expected to be at the event include Kerrville Mayor Bill Blackburn, Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly along with the posting of the colors done by Tivy High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
Local organizations interested in presenting their own wreaths in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country can do so by registering prior to the ceremony.
Limited seating is available and in the event of rain, the event will be moved to the Kathleen C. Cailloux City Center for the Performing Arts, 910 Main Street in Kerrville.
For more information contact the Kerr County Veterans Service Advisory Committee at (830) 377-8115 or (830) 792-2203.
