Hill Country Good Friday / Easter Weekend Closures and Events

In Gillespie County:  a number of local businesses and government offices will be closed for Good Friday, including:  City of Fredericksburg offices and county offices.  However, City Hall will be open on Monday.
Trash collection will remain on regular schedule and the United States Postal Service will be conducting business, as well.
All federal government offices remain open on Good Friday.
Fredericksburg ISD, Harper ISD and St. Mary’s Catholic School, Ambleside School of Fredericksburg and Doss CCSD will all be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Heritage School will have an early release at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday for Grandparent’s Day and be closed for both Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The City of Kerrville municipal offices will be closed Friday, April 15, in observance of Good Friday and the Easter holiday.
Additionally, the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library will be closed Friday, April 15 through Sunday, April 17.
All municipal offices and the library will resume regular business hours on Monday, April 18.

Do keep in mind, that the Kerrville Parks and Recreation Office will remain open for regular business.
So, all of you with plans to enjoy the outdoors with your family, have a very safe and happy holiday!
Other weekend events taking place:  the Easter Fires of Fredericksburg Pageant, Saturday, April 16.
Though the fires on the hills surrounding town will be silenced this year due to the Gillespie County Burn Ban, the pageant festivities will still occur.
This year marks Fredericksburg’s 175th Anniversary, and this year’s pageant will include scenes depicting a working Indian village concerned over the lack of rain.
Gates open at 6:30 PM and the pageant begins at dusk.
