The City of Kerrville is currently accepting applications for its second Citizens’ Academy.  The Citizens’ Academy aims to engage the community by providing a better understanding of the city’s operations and the wide range of services it offers.  Along with classroom sessions, the Academy will also offer an immersive experience with tours of city facilities, including the water production plant, wastewater treatment facility, Police and fire stations, various parks and the library.

The program consists of eight weekly sessions that will last approximately two hours each.  Sessions with tours may last longer to allow for travel time and to ensure the best experience.

To be eligible for the Citizens’ Academy, participants must:

Be a resident of the City of Kerrville.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Not be running for political office during the program period.

Must not be a current member of the Kerrville City Council.

Committed to attending all sessions.
