The City of Kerrville has announced it will start picking up trash at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 8 due to the upcoming solar eclipse.  The City is anticipating heavier traffic than usual on Monday, and wants to keep trash service running smoothly.

As a reminder for residents, carts must be placed at least 3-5 feet from other objects such as fencing, trees, mailboxes, etc.  Guests and neighbors are asked to park in a way that does not prohibit the trash truck from servicing the trash container.

Trash routes for the rest of the week will begin at the usual time of 7:30 a.m.

For additional questions, contact Republic Services at (830) 522-3062, or Public Works at (830) 258-1221.  Solid waste collection information is also available online at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
