City of Kerrville announces solid waste holiday schedule and special trash collection

The City of Kerrville Public Works Department’s Solid Waste Division has announced their upcoming holiday schedule and special trash collection that will be offered to residents on their regular trash collection pickup day during the week of December 27, 2021. The special collection is intended for bagged trash, which will be picked up in addition to resident’s regular trash bins.

Christmas trees will not be collected during this collection and will be picked up in January with regular collections.

Monday, December 20 – December 23 are regular trash service days.

Friday, December 24 – Regular recycle service day.

Friday, December 24 – Landfill/Transfer Station closes at 2 p.m.

Saturday, December 25 – Landfill/Transfer Station will be closed.

Republic Services will be conducting a special collection that will include extra bagged trash on resident’s regular trash collection day. The special collection allows residents to discard extra garbage from the holidays. All items need to be placed at least three feet away from carts and not weigh more than 35 pounds.

Monday, December 27 – 30 are regular trash service days.

Friday, December 31 – Regular recycle service day,

Saturday, January 1 – Landfill/Transfer Station is closed.
