As rising temperatures and the summer growing season approach, the City of Kerrville is reminding residents and businesses to check their irrigation systems to ensure they are operating efficiently while the community remains under Stage 2 Watering Restrictions.  Here are some helpful tips you can do to save water and also save on your water bill:

~Prevent water waste.  Inspect irrigation systems for leaks, broken sprinkler heads, or misaligned spray.

~Adjust and repair.  Make necessary repairs and adjust sprinkler heads to avoid watering streets and sidewalks.

~Set timers correctly.  Ensure irrigation timers match the current watering schedule to maximize efficiency.

Under Stage 2 restrictions, hand-held watering is allowed daily between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. while irrigation using automatic systems or sprinklers is allowed only between 6-9:00 a.m. and 8-10:00 p.m. on designated days.

~Odd numbered addresses – Tuesdays and Saturdays

~Even numbered Addresses – Wednesdays and Sundays

These efforts help support the City’s goal of maintaining a reliable water supply during ongoing dry conditions.

For more information on Stage 2 Watering Restrictions and watering guidelines, visit the City of Kerrville Water Restrictions webpage at https://kerrvilletx.gov/512/Water-Restrictions or contact the Public Works Department at 830-258-1221.
