City of Kerrville issues debris removal guidelines

The City of Kerrville is sharing important debris-removal guidance for residents affected by recent flooding.  Additional information about debris collection will be posted as soon as it becomes available.  These guidelines are meant to help expedite the debris removal process, and residents are encouraged to follow these rules.

Please separate debris by type and place it curbside without blocking the roadway.  Keep all debris at least 10 feet from the road and away from trees, utility poles, fire hydrants, meters and other structures.  Separate the following materials:

~Electronics – Televisions, computers, stereos, DVD players

~Large Appliances – Refrigerators, washers/dryers, air conditioners, stoves, water heaters, dishwashers

~Hazardous waste – Oil, batteries, pesticides, paint, cleaning supplies, compressed gas

~Vegetative Debris – Tree branches, leaves, logs, plants

~Construction Debris – Building materials, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture, plumbing

~Household Garbage – Bagged garbage, discarded flood, paper, packaging
