The City of Kerrville wants to remind Comanche Trace residents of the upcoming smoke testing in the subdivision on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11-12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The testing will impact La Cumbre Drive, Trail Head Drive, Kite Drive, Arrowhead Drive, Ranch View Ct., Club View Ct., Comanche Trace Drive, and Peaks Cv. Some street crossover may occur because of sewer system connections.
Smoke testing is a common test method used to identify sections of the sewer collection system that have defects such as cracks, leaks, or faulty connections that allow rainwater to enter the underground pipe network. During the test, City of Kerrville employees will blow a dense white smoke into the sanitary sewer system. The smoke is odorless, non-toxic and non-staining and will dissipate quickly. Smoke should only enter your premises if the traps in your home are defective, or if you have uncapped or broken drain pipes.
For more information or to report an issue, call Wastewater Collections at (830) 258-1224.
