City of Kerrville to begin slurry sealing of area streets

The City of Kerrville and its contractor, Viking Construction, will begin a portion of annual Street maintenance known as a ‘slurry seal’ on Tuesday, March 18.

The slurry seal is a mixture that when applied to the affected streets before undergoing a larger renovation at a later date.  Parking on the affected street(s) will not be allowed and lanes will be closed to thru traffic.  Accommodations for local residents, postal service and emergency vehicles will be allowed on an as-needed basis as it is not recommended to drive on the slurry-sealed streets immediately after the application.

Residents and others driving through these areas are asked to observe and obey the signs and barricades that are emplaced for your protection.
