“County Christmas on the Square” set for Dec. 4

A “County Christmas on the Square” has been set by Gillespie County employees which will include lights, choirs and bells beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 on the Courthouse Square, 101 W. Main St.

The family-friendly event will feature pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the gazebo (behind the Pioneer Memorial Library) at 5 p.m.  Also planned at the event are remarks from Gillespie County Judge Daniel Jones, cookies and hot cocoa and music from the Fredericksburg Elementary School Choir, the Heritage School Seventh Grade Bell Choir and the Ambleside School Choir.

The Christmas ceremony is expected to wrap up at 7 p.m.
